Coast & Canopy started in 2004 in a garage in Costa Mesa. Elena had a horticulture degree, a beat-up truck, and one client — a neighbor with a tired hillside garden. Twenty years later the team is thirty strong, but the values are the same.

We build gardens that reflect the climate we actually live in: coastal, dry, and worth designing for on its own terms. Our work spans small courtyards in Costa Mesa to full estate landscapes along the Newport Coast.

Everything is designed and built in-house. Our crews are employees, not subcontractors. It's slower to hire this way — and it's the only way we've found to keep the craft honest.
